When does the law come in to force in the South? Although it seems to be nonexistant in Northern Ireland, I have a feeling when it becomes cross border it will be more enforced up here.
Holding on to anger is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die

Well its up to the client if they visit or not. Think with your big head and you should be Ok.
It's not just the clients of those girls who are affected. Anyone offering unsafe practices anywhere in the system increases risk for us all.

I think you can safely assume that the escort in these circumstances will usually be treated as a criminal as well. If they don't end up being charged, they will certainly have to answer a lot of hard and intrusive questions.

For girls who are not citizens (most, I assume), this could get them sent home, depending on their status.

Whatever way you look at it, a raid would be miserable for all concerned.

They don't give a month's notice and the media attention? Maybe not so bad if don't live here, but many of us do.

Surely you have been here long enough to know that the papers target us at every opportunity. The courts take our money and give it to ruhama. falsely imprison us and accuse us of things that are not true in order to prosecute. Working in a hotel can result in being accused of working in a brothel, even if you are working on your own just because another person might happen to be working there. Sex workers accused of running a brothel simply for working in an apartment previously used by someone else.

You don't like it now because you are now having the finger pointed at you, but did you care about it when it was us taking all the heat?

If I get accused of running a brothel while in a hotel, it gets put on my passport. We have a lot to lose and this is our livelihood, it's not a hobby!
i know it will not be good for any of us. be a sad day when it finally comes in.

only dim wits would welcome this law, when introduced here it will tie an Ireland up and then the police both sides will come together and crack down on it, do those escorts really think they will be safe in the hotels or apartments, no way, remember hotel staff or landlords will know about the new law when introduced and will take it as their moral duty to report any suspect activity to the police, even neighbours etc who didn't bother before but when now a criminal activity will inform so these escorts are living in cloud cuckoo land if they think it will be for the better,

Jeez people will you all stop getting you underwear in a twist!! Is New Law IN, NO. Is there a general election soon, YES, different minster, different priorities, and as I have said in PM to some people IF new law comes in First thing police will go after are street girls, second will be trafficked, third will be pimps and gangs, and then MAYBE apartments with 3-5 girls working.
Only way ordinary girls would get caught is, 1 if you cause hassle in apartment and neighbors complain.2 you client causes hassle, drunk noisy ringing intercom at all hours, then police will be told, and 3 if somebody client, other escort, reports you.
The police do not have resources to stake out every apartment in the country.I do know what I am talking about!! and I would eat my hat(if I had one) if any ordinary girl , or client got caught.
Take a look at www.johntv.com is a vigilante site in US and some interesting stuff on there, but is all about street workers.
You guys and gals stop worrying, until it happens, then get advice from someone who knows.
    Enjoy and stay safe.

it will be a spot fine, no court no nothing, therefore you have no defence, the only defense you might have is not paying it....but Im sure you could guess how that would work out for you?

In law things dont need to proven 100% just proven beyond reasonable doubt.
you only have to tell a garda your name and address, nothing more in this situation. you can lie about why you are there and turn a spot fine into a court case or bring other problems on yourself, but rational people dont behave like that, thats more just the internet white night keyboard warriors domain

if youre going to go for a false alibi scenario, well all I can say is you better be worth the same as gold to the agencies you claim to know and have an already thought out alibi on hand which you all agree on (yeah thatll happen )

in short, dont be an idiot and pay the fine

Why do you think this? Source?

I'll be delighted - but very surprised - if this is correct. Their stated objective is to reduce demand, and a small chance of a spot fine would be nothing to worry about.

On this reasoning entering, being in or leaving your apartment or any advertisers apartment and we're guilty.
