Cantlay was a top amateur golfer who won everything but his friend died in a car crash and he threw away the golf clubs for 2 yrs and back again and is a player who could be around for years to come.

Not as many birdies today, justin rose one under for today and seven under overall. Disaster for rory on the 14th, a double bogey. Its close at the top of the leaderboard.

Well Gary Woodland has certianly bucked the trend, 6 under for the day and leads Rose by 2 .

Nice to see an underdog hold on to win under pressure from Koepka and Rose .. I watched till Rose bogeyed 13th and as it was 1.30 am decided to go to bed 😪. Good US open though and best man won in the end ..
