Most of the public think we the clients are just dirty bast*rds because that what they think, even the escorts think not much of us, only we are paying them it would be a different story and the general public/those who dont punt do not have a high opinion of the escorts themselves either. Clients or escorts would get no sympathy at all if convicted and jailed.
If there was a referendum on this tomorrow most would of the country vote/agree with the new law and the women of Ireland would be the majority with agreeing with it,

both client and escort will suffer but that is general idea behind it and vetting clients for all the right reasons is also lot of hassle, you will never really feel comfortable as you are always looking over your shoulder. It will be difficult
The new law will be policed better in the south than the north and both sides will keep in constant touch.

have to agree too with OP, Irelands attitude to escorts and punters is not good, they think we are Lowlifes but we are just normal people, can't see that attitude changing anytime soon but worsening. the looks you get from women when leaving an escorts apartment, lets say, if looks could kill
