Nope. It itches the first time, or if you let it grow for ages and then do it again, but it settles down quick. Moisturizer helps, just like your face. I've been shaving for over 10 years now.
I suppose the thing with Chinese ladies is that they already look so young in general that they don't want to look any younger, which is what happens when they shave. I dunno
