    Default Not another Christmas thread

Is Christmas a Christian religious holiday?

On the "Why do you celebrate Christmas if you aren't Christian", not many people would express Christmas as a secular holiday, with Pagan roots. (Pagan is a term developed by Southern Europeans around the second century to describe non-Christians). If you feel Christmas is not a Christian holiday, rather a secular or Pagan holiday, then do you believe that saying "Happy Christmas", having "Christmas" parties at work, school, "Christmas" trees in the work, home place is OK?

Thinking about many people who think that Christmas is a Christian holiday and that as there is a diverse religious population worldwide, one should not assume others are Christian and wish them "Happy Christmas" all season long. If you feel that Christmas is a Christian religious holiday, do you believe that saying "Happy Christmas", having "Christmas" parties at work, school, "Christmas" trees etc is wrong?

From the Islamic point of view. The customs have evolved over time.

So... Is Christmas a Christian religious holiday?

What does it mean to you?
