Probably expected that but I wonder will she still be pushing the bill through now that they are a minority government?

The bill has good cross party support so even more likely to be pushed through, bills which cause issues for fianna fail are less likely to be pushed.

You vote for a load of independents and suddenly emerged small parties , you get a cobbled together government.
Do you think the only likely alternative of a Fianna Fail government would give you anything substantively different.
FF not the republican Party but the bankrupt an entire nation thro'incompetence party.
This place was bankrupted 10 years ago by Irish and nothing other than Irish (developers, Bankers and politicians all equally incompetent)
The current interest on the national debt is something like 7 billion at 1.25 per cent interest rate. Worry if international lenders and conditions push these rates up significantly not about which of Fianna Fine and Failing are in power.
And thank your lucky stars we were inside the Euro and so the Germans had to prop us up.
Ten years ago, if we had had our own currency we would still have borrowed like the fools we were(money was sloshing through the international banking system) and when the inevitable collapse came our own currency would have plummetted in value or collapsed and then we would have understood the meaning of real austerity.

    Shalom/salaam.
10,000 years of Middle Eastern civilisation and the place is not at peace but rather in pieces.

Agree with your post but we are still a very wealthy country, Unfortunately it is in
the pockets and off shore accounts of a select few who are still looked up to and who
still have influence in Govt decisions. I like the way Denis O; Brien came out this week
giving out about putting water charges on hold.
