Charismas was originally the celebration of the Winter Solstice.
This was hi-jacked by the Ancient Greeks as a celebration of the God Kronos.
This was then hi-jacked by the Romans as a celebration of the God Saturn.
The Christians then hi-jacked it as the birthday of their God. (All Christian holidays and celebrations have pagan roots)
