Thread: What to say or do if caught by the Garda?

Default What to say or do if caught by the Garda?

I think It's only a matter of time before I bump into a garda watching a premises and I'll be fucked.

Any suggestion on what to do or say?

Do you delete your call history / web history before seeing an escort? (on ur phone)

The phone you use should be a burner anyway, so it's not registered in your name.
If you do use a personal phone txt messages and call logs can be gotten from your carrier by the gards, so be aware of the content of your messages.
If caught, deny, deny, deny. Have a cover story and stick with it. They need evidence that you paid for sex, which is hard to do with two consenting adults in a private residence. If they don't have that they are just going to try talk you in circles, scare you with a charge and try get you to confess.
The gards do not care about you, arresting you for is more work for them, they want big fish (pimps, trafficers) and to shut down brothels (2 or more people on premises where sex is on offer for money). If you are arrested it probably because they want to send a message or scare others from being in the area for this kind of behavior.

Do they have a prostitution department ? sorry honey joking know what you mean!! Garda have a lot more to do and if you are stopped and they are staking out place it is more than sex being sold there, too much resources to watch single apartment for what to catch someone like you who will not even go to court. As regards phone, burner can be traced if they really have too same as bill phone a little harder and unless you commit serious crime they would not bother.
If you are stopped just say you were visiting but dont be balshy same as any other time you get stopped

That shouldn't happen until you are inside the premises — but you shouldn't bring the Garda with you

Sensible post, NoRollToll13, but please could you tell me what a "burner" is in mobile phone-speak?

Sorry to be imbecilic, just not from Ireland

    Something disposable, dispensable, expendable.
And in the case of the quote you mention, I would imagine non-traceable.

You can buy a cheap (20 or less) pay-as-you-go mobile in Tesco (for example), and buy top up vouchers, all without presenting ID. If you pay cash (and don't use a loyalty card!), you have a phone which cannot be traced back to you.
