We shouldn't be judging "less upmarket" workers - they deserve to be treated with the same respect as any other worker in any other business.

Hope he does ok , hope he zips up his pants , hope he'd become a responsible human being ,

and not die ahead of his time :

Magic Johnson's been around now since early (mid) 90s ?

If one lives well , they can live long -- even with HIV -- nowadays .

    But by God !!

These guys have the financial resources and the social wherewithal to be able to get the very very bestest care ,

the very latest most promising medicines .

: Any of ye walking the Joe Bloke street of Life : what's the Ireland stance on HIV / Aids treatment ??

    Even back home in the States -- if you can afford to pay for it , you can cut into lines , you can get latest - bestest ;

If you're poor , you won't fare so well .

So what is the procedure in Ireland ??

Back home in Ireland you get rained on.... frequently

    Damn.. I'M home.

Ireland like the US operates a two tier type of health service.

Those that can afford it, pay private health insurance. This can allow them quicker access to certain treatments/procedures and a wider range of hospitals.
There are gradations in private insurance, the more you pay, the greater choice you may have.

    Shalom/salaam.
10,000 years of Middle Eastern civilisation and the place is not at peace but rather in pieces.

In America we have Oboma care so anyone regardless of their financial situation is covered. Thank goodness for Obama!
Hiv is no longer a death sentence. I am sure Charlie will live a long life with modern medications. It will be interesting to know if he passed it to anyone. I really hope not as that would be just terrible. I never really cared for him much but wouldn't wish hiv on anyone x

I accept your point and apologise. By saying "less upmarket" I meant that he's probably run into some workers who don't always observe the same precautions as good sense would dictate.
