I agree with most of what you're saying, but I'm inclined to think that with all of the "hard partying" that Charlie has done in his time, he's bound to have run into some of the less up-market workers in the adult industry. I doubt that he's branding all adult industry workers as "less than savoury". I also realise that I could be misjudging him and that he's far more of an asshole than I'm giving him credit for.

We shouldn't be judging "less upmarket" workers - they deserve to be treated with the same respect as any other worker in any other business.

Those that can afford it, pay private health insurance. This can allow them quicker access to certain treatments/procedures and a wider range of hospitals.
There are gradations in private insurance, the more you pay, the greater choice you may have.

Hiv is no longer a death sentence. I am sure Charlie will live a long life with modern medications. It will be interesting to know if he passed it to anyone. I really hope not as that would be just terrible. I never really cared for him much but wouldn't wish hiv on anyone x

I accept your point and apologise. By saying "less upmarket" I meant that he's probably run into some workers who don't always observe the same precautions as good sense would dictate.
