The fuel and groceries prices are much the same as here and the accommodation is not that cheap either.

I would like to know even for a guy with a qualification is the pay in most places there about 1/3 of what you would get here
    AFAIK brothels are legal!
The prices of Western goods are pretty high relative to salaries there!
Oddly there have been reports of some Eastern Germans going to work in Poland in regular jobs as wage rates were so poor there, mind you there is now a minmum wage in Germany!
    Ride them on the beaches!

RE wage rates for the qualified, I don't know, but being a native English speaker would be of benefit.
In the triangle of Gdansk, sopot and Gydnia, I remenber thinking in Gydnia it was like Manhattan with all the very tall buildings and financial service centres!

Was looking at ROKSA site and seems all the ladies there work from apartments so independents so it that not legal then but all depends on how hard they enforce the law over there.

My older brother is a qualified builder and he was going to go there 4-5 years ago but there was something at that time where the Irish were not welcome, he is in the States now in Queens

It was just economic reasons that caused young Polish people to move to here and Britain, they wanted freedom as well, I would say it's still a conservative enough society there!
