I understand your point but I think as a decent guy you will admit a thread welcoming a new mod is really not the place for that point,and as i said I agree with what you said,just not the thread you said it on.

Apology accepted. I understand your point and it wasn't my intention to hijack the thread and to take from the welcoming of LuckyLu. Truth is, as you say, we are ultimately on the same side of the argument about the need for night time mods.

The thread is a sticky, entitled “New moderator”. Of course, all would have sighed relief on the potential of this title. In the light of recent events, where escorts were personally insulted and damned, where members and escorts alike have called out for better moderation… to announce a “new Mod” but not as a solution to this very serious situation is frankly highly disappointing. How many more nights of abuse and vicious trolling do we have to witness while staff decide when they are going to police the boards effectively. Livelihoods and reputations could be severely damaged unnecessarily unless this problem is addressed speedily.

I have welcome LuckyLu on this thread. This is not angst against her, but against those that selected that appointment. Now if you want to talk of dumb, those that do not see this, are the ones that are dumb.

To be honest it just seems,to me anyway, like you had not grasped the reason for the thread and for some reason can't start a thread about the subject we all agree on,but then I am just the jester here and what would I know,ohh wait one of the victims of the trolling was actually someone I know personally and I was outraged at least as much if not more that you,but then I just seem to have the class to want to keep that SEPERATE subject away from a thread welcoming a new member of the mod team,maybe I am wrong but we both know I am not.

With respect, while an additional Moderator is welcome at any time, the issue that started the most recent conversation about the need for extra moderation happened at night time a few weeks ago, at the weekend.

For years now even the dogs in the street know that the trolls come out to play as soon as the mods log off for the weekend. Since I joined here in 2012, I have seen awful nasty stuff posted here on Friday nights, Saturday nights and Sunday nights.... none of which was removed until Monday morning.

I sat here some nights reading utter tripe looking at the Quick links pulldown to see if there was a green dot beside any of the Mods names.

I am sorry but this place needs weekend night- time moderation. I am not attacking you personally here Floki. I am just stating the obvious... until there is round the clock moderation, escorts and clients here are at the mercy of these faceless trolls who may do damage to escorts reputations and hence their business.

Just last weekend there was an idiot here..... Humptydumpty2..... suggesting that one of the top escorts here offered bareback sex. For over three hours this nutter had free rein to post anything he wanted about anyone .. and he did!

While most of us established members saw his posts for what they were, utter tripe, a less experienced member might actually believe some of the stuff, or at least avoid that girl whom he alleged offered bareback sex, just in case there might be some truth in it. S this girl may loose business over it.

The escorts are the ones paying EI for a service. Now if I pay a girl for service and she lets me down I can post a negative review. What can a customer of EI who has her business damaged, because EI allowed some idiot to say what he liked about her and leave to up for an entire weekend do about it?

Sorry for the rant but I am sick of it having watched it for three years now.

Weekend moderation is required...... end of.
