I popped into a pub yesterday in Dublin 2 before lunch for a quiet pint, there was a barman, about six old boys and a bloke about late thirties, and the younger guy was holding court and telling everyone about Escort Ireland, how it worked , where all the girls were based, when his "friends" visited them how much it cost , about a certain girl that travels over from England every so often.
The old boys were eating it up, ( I think some of them knew more than they let on )
It was a very entertaining pint, one thing he said which I do not believe, is that if a punter call's an escort, she can call E.I. and give the phone number to them verify the punter is okay.
Other than that he knew his stuff

Further proof if any was needed, that the average person on the street (or in the pub) is totally at ease with escorting, despite what the politicians and clergy would have us believe.

In my local one night with the local soccer team celebrating, 5 of the team started slagging each other about their visits. It wouldn't have meant anything to anyone that didn't know the cummings and goings in the town. Went something like this. "Paddy I see your van up in bourks hardware but no sign of you, you must have been in visiting anna and mary." "None of your business where I was, but I bet you'll be up there next week, Shirly will be back"
Names changed, but I knew exactly what they were talking about but sober enough to stay out of the conversation, hardware carpark was a good place to park for half an hour or so.

I've been in and overheard similar chats, and have often had the same suspicion that some participants have in fact been a lot more aware of things than they let on, usually noted by 'conspicuous silence' of someone who is otherwise typically quite the chatterbox!

Or maybe these people haven't a shred of "cope on" or Discretion. A hotel reception where there can be kids running around!! What next, watching porn!!

I'm all for not having the new law enacted, but meeting escorts is something that needs to stay as a guilty pleasure rather than the excepted norm and not something you discuss with your mates down the boozer...
