Thread: iOS 6 v iOS 8 --> 9 ?

  1. #1

    Smile iOS 6 v iOS 8 --> 9 ?

    LCould we now please do without the hackling ?

    :

    ".........""..""..."..."."."..........

    Ah , switching iOS 6 to iOS 8 .

    I finally have capitulated , and surrendered one of my iPads to the Evil forces and Upgraded to iOS 8 .

    Truth be told , I find 8 sluggish at best !!!'

    And the annoying Music Bar popping up Every Single Time I'm trying to swoosh a page up !!!

    Am I alone in this ?

    Perhaps a jump from 6 to 8 was a bit too much ?

    But how the heck !!!?? THEY're to be at OUR Service --- no ??

    I find it incredibly awkward and inconvenient .

    Now they want me up to iOS 9 -- just two days after having got to 8 ...

    I would love to have other ppl's opinions --- perhaps I'm missing something ? xx

    AND !! At this point , should I continue to sacrifice this one iPad of mine and upgrade to IOS 9 !?? xxx

    Thank you for any informative contribution xxx

    The latest IOS version is 9 so apple will always prompt you for the latest version. I'm still on IOS 8 with my phone. I generally leave it a few months before I upgrade so they have ironed out the bugs. In your case you are probably better of staying on IOS 8 as your iPad is a few years old and probably can't handle the latest version.

    Steph, I see no reason for you not to take the latest upgrade to ios9

    I looked at my iPad as soon as I saw this and noticed I was being prompted to upgrade, so I did. 15 mins later its done and working fine. Upgrades from Apple can be trusted IMO.

    My iPad is an old Ipad2 wifi 16gb. Tis grand...

    Do it Steph. Do it. Where's your sense of adventure.

    Otherwise you will be looking at that annoying red 1 hovering over your settings button wondering "will I, will I"

    Do it Steph. Be a man about it. ...

    Steph
    Where did you even find a download for ios8 this late in the day

    Apple probably threw a party when the only iPad left to update finally allowed them shut off the server

    Don't go to ios9 yet id advise.Its crap on the phone,and like others said your iPad may throw a tantrum.(Wait it out.....2017 will be time enough)
