maybe some clients with a desperate need to be liked or seen as nice guys will also contribute but personally I have other causes and bills to pay.
It is fair enough to suggest that EI should chip in, but I don't understand the negativity about clients who donate. I donated, and said so on these boards as an encouragement for others to do so. I certainly don't have any need to be "liked" by anonymous names on a forum.

The request is for anonymous voluntary contributions. Some of us can afford more than others, and some may just not feel moved to help. All clients and escorts will benefit greatly if Laura is successful. EI will as well, and it would make sense for them to chip in, perhaps anonymously as Kate suggested. I can't see any benefit to anyone in discouraging clients from donating.

Realistically , if most online posters made a reasonable donation (say €50 - the price of a 15 min session) , then Laura's campaign wouldn't have to be too concerned about raising money.
ok but let E-I and the other sites who are making huge money in Ireland make the first large donation, its more the principle of the matter and this campaign going to need a hell of lot of cash

I think it would be amazing if they could make an anonymous donation the same way everyone else has and i don't think there is any need for them to make a big declaration about it.
You would hope that Supreme Court decisions wouldn't be political but I understand your point.

So if you are likely to benefit from Laura's hard work and that of her team, whether you are a client. sex worker or affected sane 3rd party, dig deep!
I enjoy football but would not have donated to Marc Bosman had he run a similair crowdfund campaign.

I don't mean to be negative about clients donating but as much as I admire escorts, most that I've met are shrewd business women and tough negotiators when it comes to paying for anything themselves. Usually having a driver at a cheaper rate than you or I would get for example. I tend to admire that about them too. I just think any client donating should ask themselves why they are doing so.

Personally I've seen firsthand the incredible work that the LauraLynn foundation does and I also contribute to sightsavers and worldvision. I'm more comfortable donating to those and although one day I may learn that most has gone in inflated salaries I hope not. I wouldn't have contributed to Marc Bosman's campaign either.

If just one pimp sold his BMW it would fund Lauras campaign.

Laura Lee is going to the Supreme Court to get the Swedish model blocked, but she needs your help! Find out more in the article!
I think it would be better to say Laura Lee is going to the Supreme Court to try to get the criminalisation of clients blocked.
It is interesting to note that there have less than 200 donations in 27 months, with a little over £8,000 stg raised so far.

I have heard some interviews with Laura on TV and Radio, and she comes across very well, but it appears that she is fighting
this alone, and none(or very few) of her fellow escorts are supporting the campaign(purely based the number of donations so far).

I understand that this law will affect clients, as they will then be at risk of prosecution, but it is likely to affect escorts even more,
in that a lot of the more decent clients (if there is such a thing) may just cease visiting, and the less savoury clients will continue
their 'hobby', unconcerned by laws and lawmakers, putting escorts even more at risk of attack, or 'abusive' appointments.

There are over 800 escorts advertising on EI at the moment, so if every one of them donated £10, there would be £8,000 raised very quickly.
£20 per escort would raise £16,000, etcetera, etcetera. There's no doubt EI could easily match those amounts 'anonymously' or otherwise,
if they wanted to, based on the profits they are making from the adverts on this site alone.

To be fair, there's plenty of both clients and escorts around the site to aggregate close to Laura's figure if there was a real impetus to do so.

But i think you'll find that most will simply keep the hands in the aul phoca and then will happily moan then when MoJ drops the hammer over the next few months.

People should either pony up some few quid or forever hold their peace (or this case ,forever hold their piece)...

Let the Escorts and the sites fund the majority of this campaign, we all know most of the escorts here are foreign and the majority of these escorts will give fuck all to the cause as they dont give a shit and if its becomes bad move somewhere else where they can make money but to expect the mug punters to stump up again, youse have some neck in youse to even ask,

Fair play to E-I - they just put in £1,000 into Laura's Fund.

Hopefully more from E-I clients and fellow escorts to come....
