There was a thread a while back about references and why some clients couldn't understand why some escorts insist on references. I thought this article covered this topic pretty well, that even if you're a well known poster and reviewer we still can insist on references. It's not to defame your character but procedure we may insist on to be safe.

Seeing these new laws come in and the government gives fuck all about safety - you have to respect the fact we need references.
