Default What is it like to die?

Often wondered what its like to die.

The church tells us that it is a glorious event.

I know that I must be depressed, cause I imagine that I will just be put in a hole and rot.

Gravestones seem to be certain of eternal life.

    I'd like that

I have whilst trying to save a persons life locked into their eyes as i knew i had lost the battle for them, what I saw in those eyes what i heard is not calmness and serenity I assure you, it still haunts me day or night, whats it like to die I would say it depends on the life you have lived, the circumstances of your death.

Sudden unexpected terrifying death with just enough time to know I reckon indeed I know its not to be" liked" at all. On the opposite side I was with a person who died among family had time to repair any fences, time to be at peace but still it was not calm either , but better than other deaths I have seen .

Given some of your posts not sure if you wanted an actual serious answer but there you go raise a serious issue get a serious answer

Death is the end, lights go out and that's it

people like to think there's much more it makes life easier for those left behind, if life after death was as glorious as some people make believe, death would be embraced rather than feared

I know , I've seen the Light go out in someone's eyes .

Shattering heartbreaking for me , Panic for them , then thankfully it's over .

And then you're left holding onto , and wailing , and cradling that body .

: Personal first-hand experience : going -- not so bad ; coming back no fun atall . X

    I was clinically dead once.

Or at least my ex wife said that's how it felt to be in bed with me
