There's loads of dual-SIM phones out there as well, it could be the solution to hiding your punting SIM in plain sight.

Shared IMEI, same thing except easier to track.

Don't use your punting SIM in your IRL phone. Very bad idea.

Actually I should correct myself here and apologise. The IMEIs are separate and distinguishable, every SIM has a unique one. Still, I wouldn't put a punting SIM in my civvy phone.

Actually, you were wrong both times. Or perhaps right both times. It depends on the phone.

A dual sim phone that can have both sims active and connected to a network at the same time must have two IMEIs but a dual sim phone that can only have one sim active at a time only has one IMEI.

Even with two IMEIs, the manufacturer will be able to link them together if asked so it's a bad idea to share your punting sim with your IRL sim in any dual sim phone.
