Exclamation 2 Good 2 be True

    Hi ladies and gents.

Hopefully someone can advice me on this as I'm not sure if this could be a scam or not. Any constructive feed back would be appreciated.

I'm planning to buy a sometime from a guy in Waterford. The product I'm buying normally costs about €890. The guy selling it is looking for €430.

I can't drive down there, so the seller said he'd be happy enough if I transfer half the amount into his bank account. He'll then post the product to me, once I receive it and I'm happy with it I'll transfer the other half.

Does this sound safe? Or could it be a scam?

Potentially you could be out of pocket to the tune of €215, personally not a situation I would be happy with.

As long as the photos are verified and the reviews are good everything should be ok.

If he suggested transferring the money by Western Union then u know it's definitely a scam, but the fact that he said bank transfer gave me more confidence

It sounds like a scam to me because the deal seems too good to be true, more or less selling it for half the price. You should also ask the question why would he trust a complete stranger to wire him the rest of the money once you have received the item unless he is trying make a quick buck. The ideal would be to inspect the item before you purchase it because it could be faulty but unfortunately you cannot do this. The seller might be genuine but are you willing to take the chance and maybe lose half your money.

Thanks for the feed back guys

If the seller was a scammer then I wouldn't want to give me his personal bank details! If he was a scammer he'd want the cash transferred by a source that can't be traced back to him - like western union

Unless you have some reason to trust this person, it sounds like a silly risk. You did not say what the item is, or why you chose to ask this question on an escort site forum!

If I were you I would either go to Waterford for it, or look elsewhere for one at a good price that you can buy by credit card. Bank transfers are not secure - if the vendor does not send the goods, it will be almost impossible to get your money back.
