Salmon fishing

I've only done sea angling and I noticed river beside me has salmon.. what rods do u need do I need a licence
How big of a fine is fishing without a licence?

Never done river fishing except pike in the liffy but there half mutant

I wouldn't fish there as you need a licence and it always has members and licence crowd up there..btw I know where your talking about I was up there the other day

salmon fishing is seasonal and you need a licence, but it is over for this year unless you can get in with the private snobs who own the rights to the river

I actually made a really lush fish pie 2 nights ago with salmon cod prawns squid muscles white sauce topped with cauliflower patatoe mash

Ud have loved it...

If I caught a salmon I just poach it in white wine lemon and dill simple is best for something like that

But now I'm writing it in thinking maybe poach a side and get creative with the other

Wouldn't bother with rods, get yourself a few grenades and fire them and soon the salmon will float to the top
