    Very good, but all too late though, I fear. With no politicians arguing strongly for the criminalisation of clients to be removed from the legislation, it is all going to sail through.

    In fairness, it was always going to get through the Dail and Seanad - why its taken so long was because Shatter had no interest in pushing through what he saw as a retrograde step of civil liberties in terms of consenting adults. Once he left the scene, the result was a fait d'accompli.

    Hence the inevitable court case in due course.
