It depends on the type of cancer and how aggressive it is. I know 2 people that have beaten it and still going strong. I also know people that thought they beat it and it came back. The best thing you can have in these situations is hope, so never have that attitude with someone who has it. Hope can be the difference between life and death.

I've lost a good friend before to cancer so maybe that's why I was expecting the worst!!!

But I guess it picked on the wrong person this time!!

Thanks for all the goodwill folks! Tonight it means a lot!

Good for your friend but dont say this shit. By saying this your implying he is stronger than everyone else who died. I knew some very strong people who died from cancer. Dont want to turn this into a bitching fest but had to say this. Just because someone dies doesnt mean they are weaker. I know a guy who survived cancer and he couldnt hold my fathers dick while he went for as piss, yet my father died. Tough means nothing when it comes to cancer, its luck.

Its pure luck. Luck that everyone deserves when it comes to this anyway. Sometimes it stops and doesnt spread anymore. The way it is with terminal cancer is expect the worst but hope for the best. There is always hope. Even in the end though if they are going to die they are better off. My mother died from cancer when I was ten and she was far better off than be around sick all the time and she was really bad. My father died from cancer and again he is far better off. I wouldnt want either of them alive and suffering tbh.

    That's great news :-)

I have done a few charity runs for Macmillan (10k + Half Marathon), only raised a few hundred pounds, but was happy to complete them :-)
