That guy McIlveen is a disgrace! He comes across as a nice, soft spoken minister, but his views are from the 1860's, not the 1960's - totally unchristian. He believes that gays are destined for hell, and has closed minded reactionary views on just about everything.
The BBC and others wheel him out any time they want a predictable "traditional Christian" voice in a debate. I took him on in a radio debate a few years ago (I'll not say the subject in case it makes me Googleable!) and it was like nailing jelly to a tree.

Nope, he's actually very Christian. He's espousing a world view he learned from the new testament.
That is very Christian of him.The real fundamentalists would espouse Old Testament views.Far less charitable and forgiving.
