Would a "Unlike* button be popular?

Anyway most people on here seem to have a few aliases so you could like one and not the other why you are allowed a few accounts beats me seems if you are banned you just change your user name like some escort do with their working name

It could work on a site like this. Everyone knows who likes who around here anyway. The "thanks" button gets abused to gain favor by certain posters. If your don't agree with what someone says but don't feel passionately about it, a simple click of the "unlike" button will circumvent a possibly bitchy reply and inevitable argument.
I know it will get abused by some posters to show their disdain for others, but these posters will be shown up for the fools they are.

It works well on several other platforms with the "thumbs up" and "thumbs down" feature. If anything it will weed out the adolescence posters from what's supposedly an Adult only site.

It's worth a trial in my opinion

I was thinking perhaps it might stop people posting nasty comments as simply unliking a post would be enough

The idea seems sound but it would not work here.
You could see a gang of people unliking a certain person just to start an argument .
And God knows but there is enough fighting here already
