I am glad to read your opinion but I have to disagree with you on some of some of your points. You may not want to diss people working as escorts or people visiting them but that is exactly what you did by saying that real men do not visit escorts.
Firstly there is nothing wrong with visiting escorts at any age once you are mature enough to know that it is just sex and nothing more. I have and still do all the things that you suggested that such as being a stud and going out and exploring the world and meeting women. I have had plenty of one night stands where it was just sex and nothing more. I see no difference between this and visiting an escort. If a punter thinks that they are getting a relationship from an escort then they are incorrect. For me it is a matter of practicality. If I am not in a relationship I would see an escort just to relieve a physical need, to take the edge off the horn. Nothing more or nothing less. I see no difference between this and a one night stand with a girl I picked up in a club and have no intention of contacting again.
With regard to not telling my family about going punting I would not tell them either about a one night stand with some girl that I broke the springs in the bed riding the night before and never talk/see her again after that. I don't tell my family lots of things. I don't tell my mother that I don't go to mass anymore or believe in a God as she would be gutted. That doesn't mean that I should start going to mass on a Sunday just because she would be disappointed if she found out.
You mention the dangers of escorting such as Garda raids, drink drugs , STDs etc. This comes back to my original argument that if you are not mature enough to stay clear of these things then you have bigger problems than simply seeing an escort.
At the end of the day if you get caught up in a nasty world of drink, drugs, cheating and STD's then you will probably end up that way regardless of whether you visit an escort or not and I know plenty who have fallen into this trap who would never see an escort.
