Please tell me the Chat Room is a work in progress!

The old chatroom was very old technology (no longer supported or even being produced), our security team overruled this being reinstalled.

We may look at a different chatroom in the future but for now, this one is functional and safe and works across all platforms (unlike the java based ones),

no, no , no. Not functional. you join chat and it looks like people are there as you can see their chats.
Then you discover that they have in fact left ages ago, surely its simple to have a "dick has now left chat"???

i hadnt been on the chat before the change over. im in there now but theres nobody else in it.

i guess it can only be as good as what you make it. more people, more craic.

But it is not about the number of people in there — as it is you might as well be posting on the forums.

In the old format it was only those in there who could see the conversation — once you left you could no longer see it! You also had the opportunity to chat in private with others in the chat room — this is no longer an option!

BTW — Off topic I know and I hope you don't mind me saying this but I think your avatar could cause issues for anyone with Photosensitive Epilepsy.

I haven't tried to go into the new chat yet, but I'm really disappointed to hear the 'reviews' of it from many of the lads who are regularly in the (old) chat room. I used to pop in fairly regularly, but it sounds like the new version is a disaster, so it looks like I won't be spending any time in there anymore...
