    Absolute belter of a day, off into town to get the ears lowered, pick up a new bitta clobber and hopefully be in a beer garden for quarter to one kick off

    Cicero got his ears lowered , by having them nailed to the door of the Senate (or was it his hands)on account of another part of his anatomy. .......a big mouth.

    Cicero was the equivalent of (an honest to) making true and famous statements to the senate- Anthony and others sent their brutes etc to kill him on several occasions- a bit like our own D o Brien
