    Just about all the Armada sailors that came ashore off wrecks in 1588 were massacred by both Irish and English.
    And the merchant trade in wine and such into Galway is unlikely to have left much of a genetic fingerprint.
    A lot of the trading vessels back then were Irish or probably some English and not crewed by Spanish.

    That is correct and none of the Spanish Armada Sailors left their Genetic fingerprint along the west coast
    Not like the Vikings and English did on the East coast
