When you are well off 72 is very young

So unless she was a major or drug addict or alcoholic, dying of natural causes does not make sense - that's my view!

At 72 most people are long retired.They are not all Gay Byrne or Bruce Forsyth.
Last saw her on the G. Norton or J. Ross show.
Perhaps she was little known among younger people but she was still an "icon".

In the well off parts of Europe anyway the males average 77/78 and the women 83/84 but there are always exceptions.
