Got a few special occasions to attend this year so it's time for a new suit!!!
Anyone recommend designers, tailors or shops for some good quality suits that make me look like I own the place!?!?!

Hi, I'm a lurker and punter for a year but this subject interests me so I registered.

You should probably give an idea of your budget age and build but without those
You won't go wrong with Tom Ford and although Ozwald Boateng gets a bad reputation I have a couple of his suits that I really like. Mid range price, Paul Smith, and again Hugo Boss gets a bad rep but I like their cut. And even some Reiss suits look good
But the MOST IMPORTANT thing is how it fits!!!
The label means nothing if it's sloppy on you or bunching.

Sloppy baggy suits are just ridiculous but nowadays I think with the trend of very fitted suits a lot of men make mistakes the other way. That X at the front when they are buttoned, collar roll, ankles showing, too much shirt cuff, wrong sleeve pitch.
Fit is everything. It's worth having a look at the major flaws before you go shopping and have someone with you to check you out from the back and sides.
You want a shoulder that sings!
This page is worth reading or glancing at and I'll try to add a picture of the illustrations

Alias Tom,Michael Barry just off Grafton St or James Heron Dawson St.
The trick to having a nice look even if the suit is a Marks and Sparks is your shoes, invest in a nice pair of Barkers up in Fitzpaticks on top of Grafton St,buy a tan brogue, goes well with a navy or Cream summer suit but also look well with Jeans, your shoes should resemble your belt in colour.
