    Smile Food for Thought

Yesterday an ISIS member stopped the car of a Christian couple.

    ISIS member: Are you Muslim?
    Christian man: Yes, I'm Muslim.
ISIS member: If you are a Muslim, then recite a verse of Quran.

Christian man recited a verse from the Bible.

    ISIS member: Ok yallah go.

Later his wife tells him: "I cannot believe the risk you just took.
Why did u tell him that we are Muslims?
If he knew you were lying he would have killed both of us."

"Do not worry! If they knew the Quran they would not kill people" answered the Husband.
ISIS is not Islam, terrorism has no religion.

ISIS are a very worrying group of people - something has to be done about them!

I disagree, ISIS & other similar threats are in obvious retaliation of how the western world has treated their people & lands for decades if not centuries. My worries lay with the western governments that fool clever people into believing that what they do is for the greater good. They systematically break down the communities we once had & create a hatred for one another.
They preach 'united we stand' when really they are 'dividing & conquering' for their own gains.
    People need to wake up.

Most of what you see about ISIS is western world orientated propaganda. Put yourself in the position of these people. What would you do to protect you & yours.

The western world may have a lot to answer for but what you just said there is an extremely naive view!

Palymyra, Nimrod, blah di blah di blah.
The West has not caused Syria to disintegrate, the locals have been perfectly capable of that themselves (their tribes, their clans, their religion- Islam is not one United, indivisible block).

Much of the Muslim world is about factions fighting amongst themselves and these divisions are there with or without the West. The West puts its oar in occasionally and gets its nose bloodied.Isis will sell the credo of only one type of Sunni Muslimism being correct and any other types or cultures are to be suppressed. And they will also sell the chimera of restoring the "Caliphate" to their adherents.

The West has always pursued its own self interested agendas in the Middle- East.
That does not negate the fact that the place is riven with factions and creeds and divisions that are and have been well capable of turning on each other independently of any occidental/farang influence.

... because they were tearing themselves apart before the west saw the value of their oil ...

Modern extremist Islam is a reactionary fire that was instigated by decades of western interference in multiple sovereign nations across the middle-east. Whether that spark would have eventually occurred is irrelevant. Blaming ISIS on some perceived notion you have of muslims is akin to racism. You don't seem like the stupid type ...
