Indeed, they're saying he took it hard losing his seat, heard one of his colleagues say "his heart was too big for this world"

He seemed like quite a decent guy with a nice, precise turn of phrase. He was the only party leader in the U.K. to oppose that ghastly Iraq war at the time, even under extreme pressure from others in the political establishment. Sad news.

Yeah I heard that today about his opposition to that war, I was only 16 at the time n not big into politics but I can imagine it took resolve to hold out when 90% of your colleagues are banging the war drum

I've seen all the news reports on BBC,ITV,SKY,and read several newspapers and suicide was never mentioned anywhere,so best not to jump to conclusions.
