authors not dating online articles anymore

is it me or, but Im noticing more and more lately that when you see an article online it doesnt have the date it was written so if youve say done a search for say top 10 destinations and the search throws back an article it doesnt even say what year it was written Ive a pain in my tits at this stage

seriously. whats the problem with putting a date on something you want people to read and probably refer to later when q search engine ends up pointing them there
