    Default rioja

I usual hate wine, I can tolerate rose, pressoco the rest is too acid for me, however I did find a gorgeous white wine with gooseberries in it, but can't remember the name, but what I always love is Rioja has to be the nicest most drinkable wine ever, so easy on the palette and on the heartburn

Gotta love clients with a good taste in wine...

Guys who bring wine do you just grab one or think about it?

I used to shop by cheapest wine highest percentage of alcohol as a student buckfast form the chemist was half nothing
And I'm quite partial to a bottle of buckfast.

So you and my mother have something in common- Buckfast wine- but she drank it as a tonic!
    Seek and you shall find!

I haven't a clue about wine, so if i'm buying for any lady I usually ask someone in the shop advice
    Can feel the urge returning

To punt or not to punt...that is the question!!!

I love red wine, Merlot, Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir all yummy scrummy, but... I detest Rioja. I've tried it a few times and every time I pull a face and never able to finish the glass.

As a rule a bottle of red will last me 3 days, as I drink to enjoy it, not to get tiddly and I like the ones that have plummy flavours and summer fruits and damson, that kind of thing. Nice and warm when it hits your tummy and smooth to taste. None of the tannins and aged smoked barrels, or nicotine notes (what is that all about?).

I started keeping a list of the ones I really like (when I remember to record them) and the top 2 at the moment are:

    Cape promise pinotage
    Mad du Novi

Which is pretty amazing considering I used to avoid french wine like the plague having some really nasty cheap bottles in the past.

I've just had a glass of Isla Negra Cabernet Sauvignon tonight, which is currently half price at Tesco and it's not too bad at all.
