Is 44ish too old to begin seeing escorts?

Hello to the forum members. I'm looking for some advice.
I find myself single now for almost 2 years after losing my partner from a wonderful long term relationship. I have begun to get some offers from women but to be very honest I don't find myself sexually attracted to them. A lot of the women near my age in my crowd have really let themselves go. I'm sorry if that is too blunt.

I suppose if I was to begin seeing escorts they would be in the mid twenties to mid thirties range. Would starting down this path leave me completely unattracted to women around my age and make having another relationship even less unlikely than it seems now? Is it a Pandora's box I shouldn't open?

I don't have much time left for dating after work as I have two great kids who make it their business to knacker me out every day.
I would appreciate any honest answers even if it's to tell me to cop on and leave this lifestyle to the single guys.
