I need some help optimising image format for web

Hi guys and girls,
I am not a computer genius, actually i am quite stupid to it.. I would need some technical help about uploading photos to a website. Optimising the image format to look tack sharp on the web.

Whatever i do my photos are a bit blurry. They look good at a first glance but zooming on it can see the edges are blurry.
The photos are razor sharp on my computer, still sharp when uploading, but than after publishing not sharp anymore. It’s very frustrating

My question, is it the website host? I am talking about WIX and GODADDY which instantaneously optimizes the images after publishing thats what the website help centre says, and i reckon my pics loosing quality because of that.
Is it a some special format i need? it says change JPEG to PNG, but still blurry.

Please help me out with this guys.
I am open to suggestions about a different host as well and transfer domain name.

you could use an open source software like imagej to play around with the pictures.

Hi Marsha. The problem you mention is most likely with WIX as they have an automatic image optimizing system.

Unfortunately the definition of 'image optimization' that WIX uses may be different than what you think it should mean, as can be seen here ...

Yes i saw it, others had same issues. Seems the host responsible for this, i will need to find a better host which is more suitable for high resolution images
