Default Kate McGrew V Sarah Benson, Ruhama Debate on Hook Show Now

In a stacked debate where the compere who is replacing the Great George Hook, this compere actually MCed the launch of the 'We Don't Buy It' campaign by Ruhama et al, Kate McGrew has effectively hammered Benson's/Ruhama Nonsense!
But it will be to no avail!
    Ride them on the beaches!

The oft quoted stat that 10% approx of men buy it, was trotted out (well it's probably closer to 20%) by Benson to prove most men, whom the new campaign is aimed at, don't purchase sex!
Well, 10-20% of the male population is actually a lot of votes and if you wish to criminalize normal folk, there will be a reaction, including at the ballot box!
It's a pity George Hook wasn't there because he certainly wouldn't buy Ruhama et al bullshit!
Oh, and apparently creative writer, Rachel Moran, popped up at the launch of the campaign and was quoted by the ill informed presenter!
    Ride them on the beaches!

    Default Hype

It's all media hype driven by ruhama and a fu other do godders the Iona crowd . A lot bigger issues out there . The main one being crime espicaly robberies in rural towns and villages . When u think about it making criminals out of punters it beggars belief . What kind of a society are we living in . These people will only hear what they want to hear and according to them here every woman is trafficked . If u had one thousand Kate mcgrews they still wouldn't listen and the media would give the same slant on it . Fair play to Kate she is doing slot for ladies who want to do this work and she has to b commended for it .

Didn't hear interview but Kate McGrew is to be commended for her openness and earnestness.

I remember Coleman exprssed his support while substituting for someone else on Newstalk even when a former sex worker (Martina ......) who had written a book long since previous about her horrific ordeals strongly advocated a rights based approach.

Coleman in general is a milky-watery type of presenter and tbh , would be completely taken in by the TORL campaign.Having said that ,he's far from the only one.

TBH, all this pagentry is icing on the cake - the laws are inevitable but it will be ultimately won/lost in the court system. And since reading more and more about the recent Supreme Court decsision, i'd actually be a lot more confident of the impending laws being deemed unconstitutional . Take out the rhetoric and lobbying and the Swedish Law utterly undermines sex workers right to safety (something completely ,deliberately ignored to push through the radfem ideological agenda).

By recent Supreme Court decision, I hope you don't mean this one -

    https://www.escort-ireland.com/board...e-Implications

As that illustrates the majority of our SC judges are total gobshites who don't give a toss about anybody's constitutional rights!
And the battle can ultimately only be won in the ECHR!

Given that he was the MC for the launch of the latest TORLER campaign, he's more than that, he's an active collaborator!
George Hook would have put Benson to the pin of her collar!
