"There are further practical barriers to enforcing the Morrow-Nordic law, as evidenced by what happened in Limerick city almost four years ago. After raiding a number of premises in the city, Gardai arrested 21 men who were allegedly hanging out with sex workers. Critics of the raid cried illegal entrapment and the local, widely-respected newspaper, the Limerick Leader, took a decision not to publish the names of the 21, due to the unusual nature of the arrest operation."

They can't even get their basic facts right.
If the Limerick Leader didn't publish the names then who did?

    Some real clunkers here:

''The woman selling sex is, therefore, no longer the criminal, but rather the male predator crawling the kerbs and scouting the brothels in search of their prey.''

The woman (or man) is not a criminal at present Henry. Kerb crawling is virtually extinct (there are less than 20 street workers in all of NI) and ''scouting the brothels'' -- what exactly are you on about?

''Advocates of the Nordic model in Northern Ireland point to opinion polls showing support for banning the purchasing of sex.''

Where are these opinion polls? The only one I'm aware of was a heavily loaded question posed by CARE.

And the comparison of paramilitary punishment beatings with consensual BDSM is crass and insulting.

I used to think that journalists needed to know something about their subject before writing about it. Not any more.
    2014 in Northern Ireland:

Number of reported attacks on sex workers 70

Number of sex trafficking cases ZERO

Christ you didn't even have to read it to know it was going to be full of tripe. The picture comment told you how it was going to be, with it saying Laura was 'plying her trade', what a total load of mixed up crap and what makes it worse is that it looks like he knows what he's talking about, but he fills in the cracks with nonsense and it's the nonsense that is so dangerous. You could say I feel rather cross!
