Hard not to convict him I guess, even though cause of death could not be proven.

I'm guessing those fetish websites, I first heard of during this trial ,will be quiet.

How can anyone have sympathy for him - the phones tie him to the locations - and he did not give evidence or tell the cops of any alternative than murder he was accused of! so he gets what he deserves!
    Seek and you shall find!

I thought murder could be difficult to prove but from what I read and hear on the radio the correct verdict was reached,I feel as sorry for his young family as I do for the family of the murdered woman.

in fairness is life was finished even if he was found not guilty. stabbing women when having sex and so on....i dont think many would want to work with him

    Cop

lots of credit to the guards for this one, they really did make a solid nearly ironclad case, its been fascinating hearing all the technical evidence and how they left it basically impossible to reach any other verdict than not guilty.
they get a hard rep at times with cuts and all that, but great to see first class policing at work and the results it can get when it matters most.

As repulsive and shocking as I found his behaviour and those websites, lets remember that for most people it is just fantasy.

And most people I would hope don't go on to murder or take advantage of vulnerable people I would hope.

That's the whole point. If you agreed with the circumstantial evidence and placed him on the shore the evening Elaine disappeared the prosecutions case then made sense.

Yes Guard. Fascinating to read how they built there case especially the interviews. I think the judge deserves a lot of credit for being very fair in his instructions to the jury.

Oh yeah I forgot to mention this was a prime example why you should never talk to the guards. And somebody mentioned he didn't prove he didn't murder her. He didn't have to it's up to the prosecution to prove guilt. Not the defence to prove innocent.

    The presumption of innocent remember!
