They are saying now that it was premeditated. He had been on a flight earlier in the day, as the pilot was interviewed. I do wonder if he would have done it then, but the pilot didn't leave the cockpit. I bet he is thankful to be alive right now.

I am surprised that they never had the rule of 'minimum' two in the cockpit before, as the cockpit has to be lockable from the inside due to possible terrorist attacks. It's such a shame that it takes something like this before people see sense.

I can't help but feel sorry for all concerned, including the co pilots family. They must be shocked, heart broken and generally devastated and wondering if there was anything they could have done. The poor family that made a mad rush to get their child onto the plane, barely making it on there. How they will re-live those last moments together again and again, wishing they hadn't made it.

My eyeballs are getting wet, time to stop typing...

16 German schoolchildren on exchange trip to Spain

One left their passport behind , so group nearly missed flight.

Host family brought the passport to airport, so they flew.

Life is but a series of random chances.

    Enjoy it while you can.

The co-pilot was depressed , still not justified killing 150 people . I hope his spirit finds peace at some stage. Poor fella for such act and worse for the families who lost their loved ones.
    Retired for good all together.
Thank you all the gentlemen I met, who I'll have sweet memories of it.
Kids, don't do anything that I wouldn't after I'm gone( the good part?) not much left Loll

Oh gosh that kind of makes it worse that it was a host family. They were trying to do the right thing and they will still have their child.

This double spacing is interesting. It's like you know who Stephanie is in contact with due to it.

Don't know Stephanie personally, but I know her liking for double spacing.

But I was kinda doing it before, anyway.

I hope his spirit never ever finds peace for what he done. If he wanted to die then kill himself and himself only, not take all them innocent people with ( remember there are babies included) I hope he burns in hell for eternity

A safety mechanism to stop others getting into the cockpit can also have it drawbacks as in this case, it was a short flight so is it normal for pilots to leave the cockpit. Anyway it very sad
