A legal loophole in Ireland means that some drugs such as ecstasy are currently legal in the country, although only until Thursday.

It seems that the Court of Appeal are looking to make an amendment to the Misuse of Drugs Act 1977, as a section has been ruled as unconstitutional. This has resulted in more than 100 usually illegal drugs to become legal, including ecstasy, ketamine and benzodiazepines. The ban on 'legal highs' has also been overturned as a result.

Funny how things work out.

It just goes to show that a government in general can't organize a piss-up in a brewery (to use a stereotypical Irish phrase), MUCH LESS a full countries economy.
