    Angry Dog murdered

Crufts canine competitor Jagger was intentionally poisoned (poison sewn into pieces of beef that was fed to him) ,

fell ill and died before reaching Vet. Postmortem determined cause of death as poisoning.

    Speaking of bad apples !

Its a sport to some of them. Its about the glory not the dog. I love to say all of these people and breeders are dog lovers but some prefer their own wallets and glory more.

This is not about dog loving here, it,s business. The stud fee,s for a top class dog are unreal. I use to do a bit of breading years ago and a top Field trial chamion could fetch fee,s in excess of 5000 irish pounds in 1985 so God know,s what a cruff champion will make !!!

One just has to just look at the conditions of some so called Puppy Farms to see how a section of supposed Dog Lovers treat their animals. As Westsidex It's For the Money & Glory.

It's for that same set of reasons that many people do not want to see American Style Beauty Pageants for little girls get off the ground in the UK & Ireland.

    Similar in horse world :

    I own a horse as a hobby : He's a treasure ; can feel his soul !

Others I see treating a talented (or not so talented) horse only as a means to "a few bob" -- as they say.

The conditions of some horses in Ireland (and I'm sure elsewhere) are abysmal.

Same for race dogs , hunting dogs.

    Heart wrenching.

My guy is bred off a champ. I was asked to show him and said no way he is a pet end of story. I couldnt give a fuck if he was the worst dog of his breed. He is my pet plain and simple.

I have a cousin who breeds dogs and she would show some at Crufts.
It is very cold bloodied and is about competition and money. The winners make a fortune from dog-food adverts.

It has also been suggested it may be an attempt to discredit Crufts.

I live in the countryside and I have always had dogs, but dog owning and dog breeding for profit are two different things.

In this particular case, the owners are saying that the dog was a beloved family pet as well as a show dog. You need to be a dog owner yourself to know how much a loss the death of a dog is. It is only an animal, but when a beloved pet dies its loss is sorely felt.

Sad things is alot of the so called sports( racing , hunting and shows included ) interbred so as to get the perfect animal.
