Because gents with much to lose will stop (actually most already have stopped) posting.

And we'll be left with those for whom being found out would only be a laugh.

Men of standing , men of means , men of culture will flee any possible exposure .

And so girls will stop posting , because sure we like a bit of banter , but I for one can carry on only with my own ilk .

: They're gone , I'm likely gone -- no one to talk to.

And even girls who are more 'fun loving' than myself , will stop hanging around if they see no benefit in it.

I'm not sure that the forums will become a 'wasteland' upon enactment of any new legislation, with the quantity (and quality) of posters so greatly diminished.

But it might all depend on just what level of attention and resources are poured into enforcement and execution of of the new law(s). Certainly, IF full-on prosecutions are made, complete with investigations not only into the alleged 'crime' committed on-site, but also going so far as to prove the intent of the punter to visit an escort by tracking his IP address and examining his PC for his internet history and his phone for proof of contact with an escort, then yes, perhaps I can imagine that guys would avoid use of the forums, or use them for nothing more than getting escorts contact details.

But I imagine that aside from the 'sacrificial lamb'-- the one poor lad that will be made an example of-- that there will be quite limited resources poured into 'punter hunting' by the Gardai. It's simply going to be too costly and require more manpower and technical know-how than the Gardai have, at least to use in any large-scale way.

I think things won't change all that much around the hallowed halls of E-I.
