As you say yourself, if a thread doesn't interest you or bores you, just ignore it. You wouldn't want it shut down, would you ?

Don't you get aggro with me boyo !

I was trying to be helpful : that was a very informative sticky I mentioned.

Nowhere did I say or suggest that your concerns should be discounted or that the thread should be shut down.

Save your bile for those opposing you !
I do what I want. I cannot do otherwise.

People disregarded it and started threads about STI's every other day.

My understanding, I must stress I am not a medical doctor,
    Good News.
HIV Theoretical risk. effectively no risk, or very low risk.
Hepatitis. A B and C. Theoretical risk. Again effectively no risk, or very low risk.
Syphilis. Little risk because Syphilis is now so uncommon.
    Less Good News
Gonorrhoea believed can be transmitted to the throat during oral sex, especially fellatio.
Chlamydia In 2011, researchers from University College London revealed that 4 per cent of London sex workers had chlamydia in their throats. This finding is of considerable importance, especially as many men go to sex workers specifically because they want to be fellated.
Herpes simplex virus is highly infectious and usually sexually transmitted. There are several reports of transmission through oral sex.
HPV Most sexually-active people have had human papilloma virus (HPV) at some time in their lives – though nearly all of them don’t know it.
A type of cancer of the throat (and the back of the mouth) is becoming more common in the western world, and that this increase is almost certainly due to the fact that many men and women have acquired HPV in the throat – as a result of oral sex.

And I'm sure countless others took time out to read it , and perhaps wised up , changed their thinking

or habits to a healthier way.

Having it up doesn't take anything away from the site , but it can be very helpful to many.

In addition , it showed EI in a good light to have health concerns addressed in such fashion -- a permanent feature.

    In my humble opinion x

    HPV
The HPV outlook isn't as bleak as it might seem. The great majority of HPV infections do cure themselves, thanks to the person's immune system.
Very few people infected with HPV will develop cancer. In 90% of cases, the infection is cleared naturally by the body within two years. The majority of cases that don't clear up do not cause cancer anyway.

The two biggest risk factors for these types of cancer are drinking alcohol and smoking. The risk is even higher if you are both a heavy drinker and a heavy smoker.
Currently, there is very little research that has looked at the possible risks from giving oral sex to a man compared to giving oral sex to a woman. But HPV-related oropharyngeal cancer is twice as common in men than women.
This indicates that performing oral sex on a woman is more risky that performing oral sex on a man.The concentration of HPV in the thinner, moist skin of the vulva is much higher than the amounts of virus shed from the thicker, dry skin of the penis.
