I am not worried about it as I will be able to not only show proof in advance why a guy is coming to see me but the evidence to prove without a question of a doubt he is "not" in fact visiting me to pay me to have sex. So if the worse was to happen and some guy get stopped and asked questions I have it sorted.

I can see this bill deterring some clients when it comes in. From what I know at the moment it will be an offence for a client to pay for sex!

What I'd love to know is how are they going to prove that a client has paid for sex? Purely visiting a lady does not prove anything! I have paid for the "time and companionship" of some ladies on here in the past. I fail to see from the information I have at the moment how they intend to prosecute in a court of law.

What I do see is that many guys could be frightened away when a cop asks them what they are doing and threatens them with a date in court. Many guys would run a mile at the thought of being brought up on charges of visiting an escort even if they knew that the charges would not hold up in court! It is not the prosecution but the idea that their family would find out that would be the concern for most people!

Cue 'escorts' advertising massages only - parties make their own 'extra' arrangements when they meet .

Client books only for a deep tissue massage ( certainly not one of those dirty,unchristian B2B massages ) and nothing else.
Client even texts her that he is NOT looking for any sexual encounter , simply a deep muscular rub - keeps text on his phone should he need it.

Of course , many clients & escorts will simply operate completely off-line ,with routine changes of disposable phones to keep things low-key.

What about when the police ask you the name, age and nationality of the person you met and how, where and when you got to know them first?

Presumably they would ask the escort the same questions, so you'd better have shared some personal information and concocted the same story in advance.

I fail to see how this law can work if the escorts advertise as ‘escort services or massage only’. How could they prove that you had sex or that you had paid for it?

I cannot see that the police would bother setting up an undercover policewoman as an escort like they might as a street girl. That said, I think that a lot of prior discussion with a new escort about ‘favourites’ on offer might be risky.

My understanding is that the police, in general, have been very satisfied with the current situation. They know that there are always going to be prostitutes and clients and the current situation is relatively drugs/underage/trafficking/gangster/violence free. At least that was my understanding but this may have changed under the new female commissioner. I see that she made a speech where she seemed to subscribe to the trafficking nonsense which does not bode well.

I believe that if this new law comes in it will be very bad news for both the police force and all of us here. The problem that I see is not in the police trying to enforce the unenforceable but in the potential to encourage corruption in the police. I can see a lot of temptation for police to do a little extra work outside well know escort haunts. How much would it be worth to have some policeman with a badge forget that he apprehended you coming out of a certain well-known escort’s apartment? How much would you pay to make it go away? The law may be unenforceable but most guys will pay well not to be the guinea pig in proving this.
