Thread: Dilemma ... :o

    Question Dilemma ... :o

Oi , I'm in Southern France , was going to drive today North , eventually to Calais for the Tunnel , but BUT !!

    It's raining sideways here !!

Dunno what to do -- car still needs a bit of loading (last minute stuff) , but can't even see it's raining so hard !

And that'd be alright I suppose.

But !!! It being the Continent , and me driving my Irish jeep , on the highway I have to get out at every single fumbling

tollbooth , walk around the car to collect or to pay for the ticket. There's about 20 between here and Paris alone ,

and then still two hours North to Calais. (I'm about 800km out ) .

I don't really fancy that idea. Plus , the leather seats'd be ruined !

Car will be soaked , never mind me ! The leather seats !! and my sunny disposition !!!

    What to do ??

Will I stay on , extend my stay , wait for better weather ? Maybe tomorrow ? Day after ?

Don't fancy the unsought harsh conditions

    xx

Is there a 'toll-pay-tag' (electronic tag thingie for paying tolls) I could get ? Please ? xx
I do what I want. I cannot do otherwise.

You could try get a Liber-T toll tag, then you can just drive through every toll and the charge comes off your credit card. Not sure how long it takes to get one but they work in the UK too
