Report the threads, I've always found that the mods have responded quickly when I've had an issue with some posts, they're not able to be online 24/7 & unable to read every post, but if you bring their attention to a certain post, they act as seen fit.

I know what you're talking about but unless it's blatant touting on a continuous basis I don't really mind.

I think the problem with the advertising section is that punters cannot reply to the Thread/ Advertisement so it tends to slip off the front page quite quickly if there is a lot of activity on the boards. If you don't see it fairly soon after it's posted you may miss it altogether.

Plus there are a lot more viewers in the General Chat section of the forum so it makes sense to post tour dates there.

Personally I can't remember ever looking in the advertising section and I don't think I'm unusual in that regard.

My viewpoint remains the same regardless who is touting,i have on several occasions made fun of everyone i see doing it,as for clients touting I am indifferent to be honest and as it breaks no rules am happy to ignore when I don't take part myself
