Hmmm?? One must wonder about some of the guys on here when they are trying to read something about 700 words long and it is seemingly too long............

Also, anyone thinking that this was an actual letter sent to someones real life wife is a tad slow too...........

Its obvious that its an open letter from a escort to all women who are in a relationship with a man and the point of it is to give them a different perspective on the idea of a man cheating on them with an escort. There is an unarguable logic behind what this escort says. A logic that some may not agree with (morally) but a logic nonetheless

To me it was an interesting take on it all and a lot of it would make sense to some couples situations, thus I felt it worth sharing on here as it would be relevant to some of the guys on here

Indeed, there were some good points hidden behind the author's sociopathic and rather hateful perspective on men. I'm sure she could've said the same things WITHOUT saying to female readers that their husbands are worthless losers who cheat on them, essentially, out of love for them... Behind all of the cynicism, there was a nugget or two of insight on male sexuality, but it seems to have come at the expense of male humanity in the perspective of the author.

I did not get a sense that she hates men. Maybe she does but I dont think it comes across strongly in the letter from my perceptions. She was not really writing about men in the article as far as im concerned. She was writing about social perceptions of escorts.

WRT men she was basically simply pointing out that men, in general, desire a lot more sex than women who are in long term relationships do, in general, and so a lot of men will go seek it elsewhere.

But the main point from her for me was that she and others like her should not be viewed by society in the stereotypical way (something seedy, disgusting, immoral, nefarious). She is validating her professional service in the context of the potential "good" it can do in society, especially in one that is family orientated.

It may be a concept a lot in society find hard to swallow, but thats because our society is still framed by moral teachings based on religions that are sexually restrictive and they choose not to believe the reality of the instinctive nature of men when it comes to sex.

No matter what one individual man/woman may think, believe or act like men are not naturally monogamous. Men that believe they are are simply socially programmed that way

Some men aren't monogamous and some are - the same with women. I think you can't easily paint ppl with the same brush.

Marriages are difficult imo as you remain with the same person for a very long time and the person you marry at 30 is different from the one at 40 and again at 50. Lots of things change people including having children.

Im not saying that some men are not monogamous. Im saying that it is not the natural default state of male homo sapiens to be such. It is a state that is programmed into men due to social "norms" and conditioning. As such we do have a society in which some men can maintain monogamous relationships.

If it was a social norm to be polygamous do you think many men would naturally choose to be monogamous?

It is society and not nature that is dictating the monogamous status quo. It is why we see such a large amount of men struggle with monogamy. They are under social pressures to behave counter to their natural instincts.
