    The greatest player I've ever seen pull on the red shirt, will always be a legend, that goal against olympiakos in 05 still gives me goosebumps. He'll never walk alone.

    Another one of England's non world class players, over-hyped by the English media and the blind Kop faithful. Alonso made him look better than he was for years and it's no coincidence that his and Liverpools performance level dropped after Alonso left. Now, there was a much better player. As for the Champions League, one lucky/good shot against Olympiakos after being a non event for 89 minutes and a fianal comeback against Milan in the final, would never have happened without Hamman.
