    Default WBO Champ

Andy Lee last night won the vacant WBO Middleweight title.

Another win for the fighting Irish.

    Good man Andy.

Well done Andy. Really put in the hard work over the last 10 years so well deserved. The lack of media coverage before and after the fight is puzzling though
If at first you don't succeed..... don't take up skydiving

Couldnt agree more, nobody outside of the boxing world seemed to know he was fighting.

Irish media are too far up McGregors arse

He hammered him in round 6, terrific work. Pity he got so little publicity so far from the major news media here. Maybe tomorrows papers will do better.

Fanastic win for Andy. A world title is always what he strived for and worked so hard for.
Looking to have title defence in Limerick which would be massive.

Andy said last evening at his homecoming to Limerick that he would like to have the title defence held in Thomond Park.
That would be fanastic. But if it was to be held in spring time everybody would have to hope for a fine day and night.
    Hopefully it will happen.
