Default Foreign Law Agencies Given Rights To Tap Irish Phones

Boy, our lovely Minister for the Interior is on quite a roll -

No wonder The Blueshirts are skiding in the polls - IT ISN'T ABOUT THE ECONOMY (OR WHATEVER BASELESS SPIN THEY ARE TRYING TO PUT OUT ABOUT A "RECOVERY"!), STUPID!
    Ride them on the beaches!

Anything you post on line is in the public domain.
Any thing you say on a mobile phone is capable of being intercepted should some one wish to do so.
    Land lines can be tapped.
It is likely we will have to be more considered in our future communications.
Anyone remember the Doncaster/Robin Hood airport case.
A stupid bomb joke resulted in this guy being dragged thro' months of court before finally being acquited.
Aol ministrs for justice , no matter which party ,will want to be seen as stern, tough on crime and passing new laws.
Enough people will always lap this up.
Fine Gael prides itself as the party of law and order.
The blueshirts of the 30's incorporated into F.G. were a semi- fascist organisation.
No government ever refuses more power.
Irish administrations are often receptive to the requests of so-called friendly (and powerful )nations for increased powers to operate even within our borders. This is something in the Irish psyche perhaps wn inferiority complex or a feeling of weakness.
And most governments will always distrust segments of their own populations and may welcome opportunities to monitor them.

FG were always scumbags but I didn't think I could hate Frances Fitzgerald any more than I do now, what a useless waste of space she has turned out to be
